Our favorite pizza place in Tampa Bay, hands down! We always seem to bring out of towners and everyone enjoys it. They have the most amazing crust and lots of toppings. Be sure to get the fried eggplant on your pizza...you won't regret it. Great service as well. We have tried many other pizza joints in Trinity and Tampa, but Lonzalo's continues to be our go-to.

Let's be honest, if you live in the NPR/Trinity area you already know that there aren't many good places to eat around here. Lonzalos has some of the best pizza around, and the closest I've had to pizza from NYC. I'm a big fan of their white pizza, but all the pizzas I've had have been great! The crust is perfect, hand-tossed and crispy. They're the go-to pizza joint in our house. If you're in the mood for some good Italian food, they have all those classic Italian dishes you'd think of. Their eggplant rollatini is delish! They've recently expanded, so now they have a pretty nice bar area. One of these days I'll get to check it out.

3 stars due to one great experience and one bad one. Went here with family and had delicious pizza and a great time. Came back a few months later for a date night with the husband and when the waitress was serving us our pizza, she pushed her ungloved fingers into the air bubbles in the crust. Very weird, grossed us out.

For a local restaurant away from the hustle this place is great. The Italian meals are great and the pizza is the best. We have been coming here for the last year and each time has been great.

I was visiting from out of town and thought the thin crust pizza was AMAZING!! I will say that one of the two (yes two times-i do love a good pizza) times we were there they were bursting at the seems busy and things got a little messed up with our order. When we mentioned the mistake it was taken care of immediately with out compromising anyone else's entree at the table. We talked about the Mussles Bianco for days. Keep up the amazing cooking, Pasco county needs more refreshingly good food like this! Only thing I would change is the empty wine bottles with fake flowers that decorate the tables, no need for the flair and they get in the way.

Decent pizza, okay menu, and generally mediocre to poor service. This is the kind of restaurant that can get away with average to below average food and service because Trinity lacks many food choices.

I love the fact that this place is a family owned and friendly neighborhood place. The server was not top shelf but was friendly and competent. The first clue that I won't make a second visit was the dirty bathroom. The second was the grease on the pizza. I hope the owner sees this and cleans the restrooms (maybe spring for some paint for those filthy doors) and orders higher quality cheese to avoid the greasy pizza.

Excellent, authentic NY style pizza with great service and pricing. I am VERY picky about my pizza, and this is as close to NY pizza as I have found here in Florida, The service has been friendly and efficient. We did have to wait quite a while for a table once, but that speaks more towards how popular the place is than any sort of deficiency. Stop in, you'll like both the place and the food.

A pizza that invokes nostalgia. How close is Lonzalo's to real New York pizza? Read on and you'll see my answer! I've had their pizza before when my company had it delivered a few times and it was excellent. After deviating from their delicious neighbor, Havana Dreamers, my colleague and I decided to give them a shot for lunch. At 2 slices and a drink for $5 (toppings extra), you can't go wrong! The pizza is very close to my childhood in New York and my colleague and I end up forgetting about work and arguing how Lonzalo's pizza is closer to either Long Island, New York or New Jersey Boardwalk pizza. (Obviously, it's Long Island) It is hard to choose between the two restaurants on Town Ave, now. It's a tough decision, but we'll survive. I brought my parents there for lunch this afternoon. My father is a hard man to please when it comes to Pizza. Living in New York for close to 35 years, he knows pizza. After the first two bites, he began talking about the old pizzeria by our old house in Long Island. My mother began reminiscing on how she took me there to meet the Ninja Turtles and get a slice of marshmallow pizza. As we ate, my parents and I took a trip down memory lane of my childhood and their teenage years at that same pizzeria. We barely noticed the waiter come to check on us as we ate a simple pepperoni and extra cheese pizza. Needless to say, any pizza that can bring nostalgia to a 31 year old man and his (ahem) sixty something year old parents is pretty amazing in my book. That is the closest to New York we've come to in Florida. The smile and laughter it brought my parents was well worth a $14 large pizza.

Where do I start? This will be one of the hardest reviews to write. Lonzalos is a neat little community restaurant in Long Leaf...and I love the fact that it is family owned. We stopped in on Friday, April 25 at about 9PM...it wasn't too busy and we sat at a table in the bar. Except for the food taste, it went down hill from there. I hate saying this, but it was the worst service we have had since moving to Florida. Our server came over and was friendly, but got absolutely nothing right. There were three of us and she brought over two napkins and silverware. One menu offered Pepsi products and two offered coke... We ordered drinks and a dozen knots. When she brought the knots, she brought six...when asked for the other knots, silverware, and napkins; she went back behind the bar to check her phone. A bit later she brought out the other knots and said she forgot them. We asked again for napkins and silverware....but she went back behind the bar again. The server walked by a bit later and offered drink refills...a few minutes later she brought two but forgot the third. Just then our pizza came out...we again asked for napkins and silverware, as well as some parmesan cheese. Even though dinner was there we waited another five minutes for silverware and that was only after asking the kid that brought the parmesan. After that the server never came back....we flagged her down only to get the check...guess what - it was wrong...not just and item or two....it was the completely wrong bill. The food itself was good...just terrible service. I hope it improves, because I would hate to see a family business fail because of a server.

Great pizza on a good day, but often when you order to pick up, it is not ready. I've waited almost 30 minutes, and no apology. If you hit them on the right day, it could be 4-5 stars, but as you can see by the reviews, no consistency.

Good service. Pizza was good. Not great. Not a lot of flavor. Bacon was hard. Atmosphere was good, casual. Prices were good.

Moved to Florida about 6months ago from up north and have been looking and looking for good pizza! It has been a struggle. Nothing could compare until we had pizza from here. It is awesome! The garlic knots and wings are amazing also. So happy to finally found a place with good Italian dishes too!!

I came here with family for an early dinner around 4 pm on a Saturday. There was a group of 5 of us and they had a table ready for us right away. The server pleasantly greeted us and handed out menus. We all ordered different things from the early bird menu which was a selection of 5-10 items for $10 including salad bread and a drink. I got the chicken parm. It was tasty and the chicken was a large size considering the great price. I had enough for leftovers for the next day. My family ordered the chicken Marsala and veal Parmesan and said it was all very good. For dinner for 5 it only ended up being $60 which is a great deal. The environment was nice, the food was tasty and service was good. Overall enjoyable

Finally, a great slice of NYC has arrived in Tampa Bay! Gorgeous hand-tossed perfect crust pizza that tastes as good as any pizza joint in the Big Apple. Lonzalos uses excellent cheese and the sauce is like something mama used to make. They've recently expanded and now offer a even larger section of craft beer on tap and wines. If you're not in the mood for pizza or calzones, their menu also offers a variety of your favorite Italian dishes. I highly recommend the Eggplant Rollatini, but my husband loves the Chicken Francese. The place is always packed at dinner, but they happily take reservations. Lonzalos also offers lunch specials, early bird specials as well as happy hour specials.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant!! Great service inside and out. I had a party of 20 and Tony the waiter did an excellent job all dishes came out hot and delicious!!! I wish they would put the penne ala vodka back on the menu!!!! The last time I was there the place was full of New Yorkers. That says it all! Keep up the good work and quality!!!

I was overcharge by 10 dollars for a take out order. My son picked it up and told the lady that it was wrong. After I called them I was told that 20 wings cost 22 dollars. I have had some great wings before and never paid more than a dollar a wing. I have dined here many times before but never had take out. This left a bad taste in my mouth and not just from the flavorless wings. I will take my business elsewhere. The menu said 20 wings for 12 dollars.

This is the only place my boyfriend and I order pizza from. It's like being back in NY... Soooo delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves GOOD PIZZA.

I ordered the lasagna which was ok, not great but not bad either. My fiancée ordered the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken on top which was incredible! We also ordered garlic knots and the fried mozzarella. They forgot the garlic knots so I can't say what they taste like and the mozzarella was mediocre. The only reason they get 4 stars is for the fettuccini Alfredo.

Be honest, this is not New York style pizza. I never had pizza like this in NY. They must place sugar in the sauce..it has no bite at all, only sweet. Overall a boring pizza. Since they have tables on the sidewalk, why allow pickup customers to park at the curb ..engines running, and all the exhaust fumes getting to the tables. Why does the waiter offer to box my slices, when he clearly sees I am still eating? I tried this place from the reviews, but not again. If you want the best pizza in NPR, go to Rossi's on SR 54 or Alpha on Ridge Rd.

Cool little Italian place in Trinity. Pretty expansive menu and reasonable prices. Not many tables and appears to be pretty popular, but we managed to get a table right away. The food was very good (I had the eggplant parmesan) and delivered quickly. Service was excellent and the wait staff was friendly.

Had pizza from here at a relatives house a few weeks ago. My wife and I were both liked the pizza a lot (the reason I've given it two stars instead of one). Went into the restaurant for a late dinner this past Friday (about 9:30pm). The place was full which we thought was a good sign. My wife ordered a half sausage/half cheese pizza and I ordered chicken parm. My wife also ordered a glass of wine. Here's where it goes downhill quickly. We never got the glass of wine. The food took a while to come out. We were seated right in front of the kitchen and heard that they were close to running out of sauce. The pizza came out with all sausage instead of half cheese/half sausage. There wasn't much sauce on the pizza at all (possibly because they were close to running out). The food was good, just not great. Later that night (about midnight) my wife and I were both up for hours with horrible stomach cramps. The only meal we ate together that day was at Lonzalos. I'm not sure what it was, but we ended up not getting much sleep at all. Seeing we ate different meals it must've been the sauce. Be careful!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
